 This year’s conference theme Learning for Democracy Ma Te Ako Ka Tū Rangatira explores the relationship between education and democracy on a number of levels including how learning encourages and empowers adults to develop a sense of self determination, live sustainably and participate in their communities. It will also consider what a ‘democratic’ curriculum looks like, how it reflects cultural values and supports diversity for the benefit of all.
