ACE Conference 2012

Community Solutions Ako te Katoa Tuhonohono te Katoa – The Business of Learning
This year’s conference theme acknowledges that the most effective, enduring solutions come from communities themselves and from the people who live in those communities. Huge stores of untapped talent and expertise exist within communities.

The notion of community solutions will be explored by our local and international speakers all of whom have a proven track record in harnessing community resources to enhance the lives of those living within their communities.

The Business of Learning invites us to consider all aspects of learning provision within our sector: the business of good governance, the business of learning and teaching and the business of social enterprise. These will form the three strands for our conference workshops.

Workshop presenters will share their expertise in governance, social innovation and learning and teaching.

They will provide practical examples and success stories to inspire participants to consider new approaches.

The goal of the ACE Conference 2012 is that participants acquire fresh knowledge and skills about how to leverage the complementary skills and strengths within our communities for the benefit of adult learners.
