It is our privilege and pleasure to celebrate the people and programmes who have contributed to transforming Aotearoa by fostering thriving communities. We would like to congratulate the following individuals and organisations on their achievements. It is great to be able to acknowledge the excellent work that is completed on behalf of adult learners throughout Aotearoa.

Our 2022 recipients are:

Charmaine Tukua - Educator of the year Tangata Whenua

Charmaine is kaitiaki of sector knowledge related to the development of adult literacy in Aotearoa, especially as it applies to Māori. She has worked as a National Tutor Trainer for Literacy Aotearoa, delivering blended programmes for national qualifications and she has worked as a National Assessor and Moderator for Literacy Aotearoa.
