The Effective Adult Teaching Practice Workshops provide practical, engaging professional learning to support adult and community educators to strengthen their teaching practice.
Based on the ACE Teaching Standards, these workshops explore what effective teaching looks like in adult and community education. They connect the standards with real-world teaching experiences, offering practical strategies, fresh ideas and opportunities for educators to reflect on and enhance their practice.
Delivered online, each workshop focuses on a specific aspect of adult teaching, including learner-centred approaches, lesson planning, learner engagement, positive learning environments, reflective practice and assessment for learning.
Help shape future workshops
We are planning our next series of Effective Adult Teaching Practice Workshops and welcome input from educators across the ACE sector.
Are there teaching challenges, areas of practice or professional learning topics you would like to explore? Contact ACE Aotearoa to share your ideas and help shape future workshops that respond to the needs and interests of adult educators across Aotearoa New Zealand.
