UNESCO report on Learning Cities Conference

The report of the fourth International Conference on Learning Cities (ICLC 4) is now available: Conference report Inclusion – A principle for lifelong learning and sustainable cities. It provides a detailed account of the conversations and knowledge exchange that took place at the conference in Columbia - which was held in October last year. 

About 650 people attended the conference including 50 mayors.  

Launch of an Ireland/UK Network for Adult Learning Across Borders (NALAB)

In November last year AONTAS (the Irish Voice of Adult Learning) and their partner organisation Learning & Work Institute (England and Wales), Scotland’s Learning Partnership, and The Forum for Adult Learning Northern Ireland collectively launched NALAB, the Network for Adult Learning Across Borders (NALAB). The launch was part of the AONTAS Lifelong Learning Summit, which was held as a celebration of their 50th anniversary.

Te Tiriti based Futures: Anti-racism 2020

After months of mahi, this major anti-racism event has been announced. It is a Te Tiriti o Waitangi and decolonisation on-line open-access education event involving 10 days, 35+ open access webinars, 42 partner organisations and 50+ speakers from across Aotearoa, Australia, Rwanda, Canada etc. It will start with a one-day hui on March 21, Race Relations Day hosted by Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua in Tāmaki Makaurau, and run for 10 days.
