Theme
Tuia te kōrero, Whiria te Tangata references the well know karakia – Tuia with its focus on acquiring and seeking words, stories, knowledge and wisdom from the past and our ancestors to draw upon. The verb Whiria refers to weaving, plaiting and twisting while Tuia means to bind or thread.
Our 2024 ACE conference at Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington will promote the power of storytelling through introduction to a wide range of storytellers, programmes, media and digital platforms. Media and marketing specialists, and experts in combating misinformation will share tips and tricks to help us tell our stories effectively and ensure that our learners are able to navigate dangerous digital spaces.
Telling our stories is a vital and powerful part of the work we do in the ACE sector. It helps us to engage with and attract learners, to promote the valuable work we do and to ensure financial sustainability.
