New to the Sector
Have you just been appointed an ACE coordinator in a school, or are you a new provider, or a manager of a community organisation which provides community learning activities, but who is not currently linked into ACE sector activities? Or are you a new ACE professional, or a staff member from a local authority community development team who is wanting to link into the ACE sector? If so, here are some starting points for you.
- Contact your local ACE Network: ACE Networks and become part of the email network for your area, and attend the next network meeting. The network may have a coordinator who can also provide you with information and advice.
- Become a member of ACE Aotearoa and enjoy the Benefits of membership
- Note: you do not have to be funded by the TEC to be part of the ACE sector. If you are in the business of community learning or adult education, there are many benefits of linking into ACE Networks even if you are funded from other sources.
Access to funding
If you are a community organisation you may be funded directly by the TEC (see Funding) or you may be able to access TEC funding through a local secondary school in your area. To get a list of the secondary schools funded as ACE providers click on this link
