Strategic Alliance
The National Executive initiated a meeting in Wellington in late August 2006, where representatives from eight ACE organisations met to explore how they can collaborate more effectively to ensure ACE issues are firmly on the political agenda, and lobby for more effective mechcanisms within government.Those present included representatives from ACE Aotearoa, Community Learning Association Through Schools (CLASS), the Rural Education Activities Programme (REAP), the National Office of ESOL Home Tutor Schemes, the Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics of New Zealand (IPNZ), the Federation of WEAs, the Pasifika Education Centre and Literacy Aotearoa. The group is inclusive and expects to welcome new members.
