
Letter to ACE Aotearoa and members about Budget 2009 - from Hon. Anne Tolley
Hon. Anne Tolley, Minister for Tertiary Education has written to ACE Aotearoa about the rationale for the Governments decisions taken through Budget 2009.These include from 2010 - withdrawing CPI adjustments to ACE Funding, withdrawing subsidies for "hobby and personal interest courses (e.g. arts and crafts courses, home maintenece ACE etc).", reducing numbers of schools involved ACE, and aboloshing the ACE Inovation and Development Fund and the Community Learning Aotearoa New Zealand Fund.
Hon. Anne Tolley is keen to see the ACE sector contribution continue to have a crucial role in the tertiary education sector and is looking forward to discussing how her ministry can utlise us.
