ACE AOTEAROA INC ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

ACE Aotearoa warmly invites all members to attend the Annual General Meeting to be held in Christchurch prior to the ACE sector annual conference.
Please email us to indicate whether you will be attending the AGM. Alternatively, if you are attending the Conference, please indicate whether you will be attending the AGM on your registration form.

Remits
Members are invited to submit remits they wish to put forward at the 2009 AGM. Remits which propose a change to the Constitution must be submitted to ACE Aotearoa by 5pm, Friday 8th May. Constitutional remits, together with other remits already received and the remits deferred from previous AGM’s will be circulated to members on or before Tuesday 12th May, 30 days before the AGM along with a copy of the annual report.

Clause 12.1 and 12.2 of the Constitution states: each financial full member is entitled to one vote, which may be exercised by proxy submitted in writing prior to the meeting or by postal ballot in accordance with clause 12. Such proxy votes are limited to remits circulated in advance of the meeting.
Nominations for National Executive Positions
Members are invited to submit nominations for vacancies on the National Executive. There are three Tangata Tiriti vacancies (one of these is a Pacific representative) and one Tangata Whenua vacancy available for nomination in 2009.
The National Executive positions are for a two year term. Members of the Executive have the right to stand for re-election.
Nominations must be received before or at the AGM and must be signed by the nominee and two financial members of ACE Aotearoa Inc. Nominations received by the Chief Executive - Te Tumuaki by 5 pm, Monday 11th May will be included in the pre-AGM circulation material.
