
CLANZ Funding
CLANZ allocates small amounts of funding to community groups for community learning activities. - This fund allocates small, one off grants to community groups for community based learning activities;
- The appropiation is $200,000pa;
- The allocation process is the CLANZ fund panel makes recommendations to TEC;
- Grants are usually under $2000, although special projects may receive up to the ceiling of $5000
- projects and programmes of groups which do not have easy access to other funding
- learning opportunities to make things fairer and strengthen peoples choices
- learning opportunities outside the control of schools, polytechnics, and universities
- projects where the learners have control of the learning, rather than those where others decide what people need to learn
- local or regional groups rather than national bodies.
